Jean-Pierre Schwabe vient d'une famille de peintres.
Professeur de génie électrique dans l'Education Nationale pendant une trentaine d'années il peut, depuis, se consacrer entièrement à son art.
Ses maitres inspirateurs sont les surréalistes, Dali, Chirico, Magritte pour le figuratif; Soulages, Kandinsky pour l'abstrait.
Ses thèmes portent sur la ville, l'environnement, les faits de société, les mythes fondateurs.
Il tient compte,avec reconnaissance,des conseils de son ami le peintre bordelais Gilbert Baillet sorti des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux. |

Jean-Pierre Schwabe was born in a family of artists.
After teaching engineering for 30 years in the Education Nationale he has fully devoted himself to his art.
Inspiration comes from his masters, surrealist Dali, Chirico, Magritte for figurative painting, Soulages, Kandinsky for abstract painting.
Urban life, the environment, society, the founding myths are the subjects of his works.
He gratefully benefits from the advice of his friend Gilbert Baillet, a Bordeaux painter who graduated from the Bordeaux Beaux Arts. |
